THANK YOU!

LGMC presented an audience-packed evening of classics from Hollywood's golden age and showtune favorites from award-winning screen-to-stage adaptations. The one-hour show featured gentlemen of the Louisville Gay Men's Chorus performing solos, ensemble numbers, and choral works in a unique cabaret setting unlike any other in Louisville. ABOUT US

The Louisville Gay Men's Chorus is a choral group that unites men's voices as a means to entertain, educate, bring healing, joy, a sense of community, and build bridges for the performers and the audience. The organization is looking for members as well as people who would like to help enable the chorus to do more.

Phillip Morgan, Artistic Director

The Louisville Gay Men’s Chorus is pleased to have Phillip Morgan as Artistic Director.  Mr. Morgan studied conducting at the University of Louisville with Kent Hatteberg and Kimcherie Lloyd. In 2013 he was selected as a National semi-finalist in the American Choral Directors Association’s Student Conducting Competition.

Both a conductor and singer, Mr. Morgan has been a finalist in the Franco-American Vocal Academy 2012 Grand Concours de Chant in Austin, TX, the 2nd prize winner of the Southern Regional Vocal Competition of the National Association of Negro Musicians. He has been featured in the roles of "Escamillo" in Bizet’s Carmen and "Guglielmo" in Mozart’s Cosi fan tutte with the University of Louisville Opera Theater and has been a studio artist with the Kentucky Opera singing the baritone lead in the company’s acclaimed touring production of Oh, Freedom.

Mr. Morgan is also Director of Music at Central Presbyterian Church in Old Louisville.
