If you'd like to get involved with the Louisville Gay Men's Chorus in any capacity, we'd love to hear from you!

We are a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization and your contribution is eligible for a tax deduction.

The Louisville Gay Men's Chorus is a choral group that unites men's voices as a means to entertain, educate, bring healing, joy, a sense of community, and build bridges for the performers and the audience. The organization is looking for members as well as people who would like to help enable the chorus to do more.

Gregory Dupont, Interim Artistic Director

I wish that I could remember my 6th grade music teacher’s name…she was the first person to have me accompany a choir (the school choir at the annual music contest).  As we were waiting our turn to perform, I watched other accompanists and can remember being the only student accompanist that day.  I was scared to death; I had only been playing the piano for a year.  We got a superior rating with a nice comment about the accompanist!

That was my initiation into chorus nerd-dom.  Since then, I’ve had the privilege of working as the director of many choirs in a church setting as well as community theater and teaching private piano lessons.  I am currently the Director of Worship and Music at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church.  Singing in a group is still one of the most exciting things for me.  I especially love helping new singers find their voice.

I’m very excited to be working with the LGMC this year as their Artistic Director.  Music is such a powerful way of sharing stories that need to be told and of expressing hope and happiness.  I’m looking forward to sharing that joy with the chorus as we work toward sharing our voices and our stories with you.

Alan Martin, Accompanist

Alan Martin, accompanist for LGMC, is a native of North Carolina, and holds degrees in music and Latin from Wake Forest University and in organ from Southern Seminary School of Church Music.  He did post-graduate study in musicology at University of Louisville.   Prior to his current position as Organist at Douglass Boulevard Christian Church he was organist at churches in Virginia, North and South Carolina and two other churches in Louisville.   He has had articles published in The American Organist and Angels on Earth magazines and has a strong interest in film music of the mid-twentieth century.

Take a listen to some of our recent performances...

We would love to hear from you.  Send us a message!
